You will find three sets of measurements on our item pages, all of which will aid you in assessing the proper size to choose.

The "Actual Garment Measurements" are just as the name suggests actual measurements for that particular garment.

You will note that the "Will fit women with these Measurements" are smaller measurements than the "Actual Garment Measurements". This difference is allowance for the garment to hang properly on the body according to its design and style, and to give the customer room to move in the garment.

These two sets of measurements will help you to determine if the garment will fit properly before purchase. The last sets of measurements are just as stated, measurements associated with standard U.S. sizes.

*Chest: Measure under arms around fullest part of chest.

*Waist: Measure around the natural waistline (about 6" below your chest), keeping the tape comfortably loose.

*Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips - about 8" below your waistline.

*Inseam: Measure from the highest point on the inside of the leg to the hem.

Yes, we strongly recommend that you wash your new SophiaCollection garment before wearing as there may be dyeing residues (from the vintage wash process) still in the fabric.

All of our items are pre-washed in cold water. They can be machine washed on delicate mode in cold water - but to be 100% safe they should be hand-washed in cold water (especially if your garment has lace embroidery). Garments should be washed separately. Also, please do not tumble dry our garments - they should be line-dried. For best results all SophiaCollection garments should be ironed at medium heat.

Not necessarily. The Studio Lighting we use to photograph the garment is the best on the market, as is our digital camera. However, studio lighting will sometimes make colors appear slightly different than they really are (sometimes brighter or in a different shade). The settings on your computer monitor are also a factor; different monitors may show different shades for the same item.

99% of our garments are Hand-Dyed using a Vintage-Wash process which gives the garments a wonderful depth, contrast and personality all their own.

About 70% of our garments are made from butter-soft premium quality Viscose which is similar in feel to cotton but is actually softer than cotton - with a tighter weave that is more durable for embroidering. We also use premium quality Satin, Velvet, Jacquard and various Laces. The other 30% of our garments are made from Rayon which is very nice to wear on winter.

All SophiaCollection items are made by us in our own factory - to the highest standards. This means double-stitching, over-locked seams, side stitching and embroidered cuffs on 99% of our garments. We never cut corners and use the highest quality viscose, velvet, rayon, satin, jacquard and laces on the market.

Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to offer any further discount as our pricing is already very competitive for the high quality of goods that we sell.

The other item in the picture is purely for illustrative purposes and is intended to show how the garment can look alongside another. As our listings are changing constantly, so to is availability of certain garments. If the item is available, then it can be searched for using our search facility.

Most parcels we ship internationally are never charged duty. However, the customer is responsible to pay any duty/taxes that may be applied by customs.

The Post Office normally makes 2 delivery attempts to your address. However sometimes they only attempt 1 delivery. They should leave a notice at your address asking you to pick-up from the local Post Office.

If you do not pick-up your parcel from your Post-Office it will be returned to us after 30 days. Once returned to us, we will notify you via email. You will be refunded the item amount less a 30% re-stocking fee (via PayPal only).

Some large Parcel Post orders may be split into several parcels. If this is the case, then they will have separate registration numbers.

In the first instance, please go in person to your local Post Office to pick it up. If your parcel has been sent from our India warehouse, please ensure you speak to the person there who works in the International Division. If you are unsure where your parcel is coming from, please contact us. The Post Office may have attempted to deliver your order already and will be holding it there. The will keep a parcel for 30 days from delivery. After 30 days it will be returned to us.

We have an unconditional returns and Exchange/Refund policy. (see below for details).

Please note: If the problem with your garment is to do with measurements or size, measure your garment carefully and compare to the Actual Garment measurements on the ion page before returning to us. Our tolerance for measurements is 1.5" If they are out more than 1", we will refund both garment and shipping or send a replacement if there is one in stock. If measurements are within 1.5", it is treated as an unconditional return and you can Exchange/Refund the garment price only.
